Welcome to the Amahi Wiki!

The Amahi home server is a server operating system for home and home office environments.

Our focus is to build a home and personal server with usability, cross-platform standards compliance.

More simply, the Amahi server is meant to make home networking simple.

It is meant to be installed by somewhat technical users, for the benefit of the less technical users ultimately. Every technical user we know has others who he/she helps run their "digital lives," like spouses, kids, neighbors, cousins, elder relatives, etc.

It provides all the things you would want in a home server:

  • Calendaring, Wiki
  • Shared network storage, Network Backups
  • Printer server, Remote access
  • ... (see below)

It is Linux-based and of the main areas of focus is to make it 100% compatible with PCs and Macs.
