Some times, vista refuses to acknowledge short URLs.
Here's a fix that worked for me (Vista specific)
In Control Panel/network connections 1. Right click your ethernet card (or similar) and select properties 1. Select Internet Protocol vrs4 and press the properties button 1. Click the "Advanced" button 1. Select the DNS tab 1. press the "Append these DNS suffixes (in order)" button 1. add your home server's domain name (eg. home.com) 1. press the required OKs, apply, close ...
All should work correctly now ... This should work automatically - hopefully
someone can explain why Vista messes this up!
