To update FireFox to the latest version in Fedora 14:
- Install the Amahi RPM Fusion(Free) and (Non-Free) web applications (if not already installed).
- Ensure all instances of FireFox are closed.
- As root user, do the following commands:
tar -cvzf $HOME/mozilla-firefox-profiles-backup.tar.gz $HOME/.mozilla/firefox/ yum localinstall http://rpms.famillecollet.com/remi-release-19.rpm --nogpgcheck yum --enablerepo=remi list firefox yum --enablerepo=remi install firefox xulrunner7
- You should now have the latest version.
NOTE: You may have to reboot your HDA to complete the update.
