Some times, vista refuses to acknowledge short URLs.
Here's a fix that worked for me (Vista specific)
In Control Panel/network connections 1 Right click your ethernet card (or similar) and select properties 1 Select Internet Protocol vrs4 and press the properties button 1 Click the "Advanced" button 1 Select the DNS tab 1 Press the "Append these DNS suffixes (in order)" button 1 Add your home server's domain name (eg. home.com) 1 Press the required OKs, apply, close ...
All should work correctly now ... This should work automatically - hopefully
