Development Notes
DISCLAIMER: These notes are for development of Amahi with Fedora 14. These notes are not by any means anything for users to follow. Please continue to follow Fedora 12 guidance for new Amahi installs.
NOTE: Fedora 14 is in BETA. Official release anticipated in Nov 2010.
Amahi Repo
- f14.amahi.org is not ready.
- Must edit /etc/yum.repo.d/amahi and change to f12.amahi.org
Fedora 14 Install
- Users are presented with a message that there are missing dependencies on Amahi packages: Workaround: click on continue.
- The beta versions has 150+ updates that should be installed before attempting the Amahi install.
Amahi Install
- Web installer does not work. Stops at 48%.
- Command line install partially working.
yum -y update yum -y install hda-suite (already installed and current) hda-new-install -q YourInstallCode > hda-install.log
- There is an error over half way through that aborts the install.
Test System Specs
- VirtualBox 3.2.4 (Windows 7 64-bit host)
- Fedora 13 VM upgraded to Fedora 14 Beta (install DVD not compatible with VirtualBox)
