- using freegeoipthis will show you you current wan IP address.net in the example above it shows <brcode> firstly lets get our wan IP address81.171.81.97</code><br> Issue now using freegeoip.net we are going to see what the location of this IP address is by issuing the following command whilst logged into shell.<br><code>dig +short myipcurl freegeoip.opendnsnet/xml/81.com @resolver1171.opendns81.com97</code><br>this will display the location of the server and you will see that you are now connected through a different country. <p> -Using a terminal based text browser</p>
