If rsnapshot daily backups are set for a 7 day retention the numbering would be 0 to 6, where daily.0 is the most recent backup set and 6 the latest set.

Below each "daily.x?" backup set a directory (green folder) is created, normally intended for identifying a server name (default is localhost), for the purposes purpose of this example "owncloud" is treated as a the "server".
