The focus of the Amahi server is to build a home server with usability, cross-platform standards compliance and overall ease of use in mind.
More simply, the Amahi server is about '''making your home networking simple!''' The term "home networking" is defined very broadly. The Amahi server is meant to be installed by you, the tech users (though the only requirement is to be able to install Linux). Ultimately, though, the goal is to benefit regular computer users in the home. Every tech user has others who need their help in running their "digital lives," like spouses, kids, neighbors, cousins, elder relatives, etc. Amahi is about making your life easier while helping them '''much better.[*]'''
To describe best what the Amahi server is, we came up with a term: '''HDA''' ... "like a PDA, but for the home." So, HDA stands for Home Digital Assistant, which is what Amahi is all about.
* [[Requirements]]: What's needed
* [[Credits]]: How are we doing all this!?! We have many OSS projects to thank!
