We have added Outlook synchronization of Free/Busy information to the webcal plug-in, which comes with the HDA.

Free/Busy means that no details about the appointments are put in the calendar. In other words, the appointment is registered only as Busy.

Setting up Outlook Free/Busy Sync

  • To synchronize an Outlook calendar, go to Tools -> Options and select Calendar Options

    Outlook Options
  • In Calendar Options, select Free/Busy

    Outlook Calendar options
  • In Free/Busy options, enter how often in minutes you want the calendar to be updated, and, most importantly, the publish location. The location is http://calendar/<name>.vfb

    Outlook Free/Busy options

The .vfb extension is required, otherwise, it will not be picked up.

Please choose a name that does not clash with any other name in your calendars!

Enjoy!
