Troubleshooting

Here are the steps to diagnose any issues with Splashtop.

  • After launching the app at the desktop, does it gray out the username and password? If so, it means it logged in to Splashtop. If not, then this needs to be diagnosed.
  • If it's not logging in, take a look at what is in this file:
  ~/.config/splashtop-streamer/SPLog.txt

and report on what it's in it.

Network Configuration

Splashtop requires that the network interface in your system be managed via Network manager. Amahi/Ubuntu systems prior to December 1st 2012 did not have NetworkManager support.

TO DO: need to put here the steps to reconfigure your network device to use NetworkManager.
