Splashtop requires that the network interface in your system be managed via Network Manager. Amahi/Ubuntu systems prior to December 1st November 31st, 2012 did not have NetworkManager supportand would need to be converted to using Network Manager to use Splashtop.
TO DO: need to put here the steps to reconfigure your network device to use NetworkManager.
