Running the Amahi UI standalone

The Amahi UI can be run standalone for development.

• mysqladmin create demo_development
• create a user/password for this DB
• git clone the repo
• cd amahi/platform/platform/html
• edit config/database.yml and change the user/password for the development database as you created above
• rake db:migrate
• ./script/server

then access things in http://localhost:3000

Things that work

• dashboard
• setup (except things don't take effect) - skip the piecharts page!

Things that do not work

• updating system settings, like dhcp, dns, networks, aliases, samba configuration, etc.
• piecharts with disk usage hang the RoR server (!!)
• theme changing
• debug
