Amahi 7 release notes

Release notes for the version 7 series of the Amahi platform.

Many thanks for the bug reporting and helping testing the fixes!

Amahi 7.2

Amahi 7.2 was slated to include Greyhole integration, but that was not ready yet. Amahi 7.2 was mostly for bug fixes. We are sliding Greyhole integration to the upcoming 7.3 (you can install it by hand still).

• Update various gems to the latest
• Prevent multiple simultaneous app installs, which could lead to errors #1072
• Add ability to edit Samba workgroup name, edit user name
• Various improvements in tests and plugin generator
• Improvement in Shares area, to help with Greyhole integration upcoming in 7.3 #1184
• Improvements to internationalization with I18n.enforce_available_locales setting
• UI improvements: spinner, more consistency, including #1155
• Added coverage tool for tracking test improvements
• Support for development under Linux Mint, support for upcoming Ubuntu 14.04 release

Amahi 7.1.1

• Fixes to make more reliable installation of server-based apps (helps, among others OpenVPN, see #1090)
• Minor repo tweaks to support 32-bits installation. See the directions for Amahi 7 full-dvd installation and #1089.

Amahi 7.1

A new Amahi 7.1 Express CD was done for this release due to the seriousness of the full_path and PHP timezone issues below.

• Fix in PHP time zone settings. This helps with Greyhole, Mantis and other apps. If your machine suffers from this issue, you can run hda-php-zone-change (as root) to fix the issue #1067
• Fix in locale selection where the page was not refreshing #1086
• Fix for when the user has > 6 apps exception 1064
• Enhance exception handling page #1066
• Fix for serious bug for installation of apps causing a full_path exception #1063
