Amahi Release (Common)
Networking
- Disable Router DHCP Server: Generic guidance for disabling DHCP server on some routers.
- Change DNS Provider: Change DNS from OpenDNS to different provider.
- Disable DHCP Server: Disable DHCP server on HDA.
- Change Gateway IP Address: Change the 3rd octet of the router/client IP addresses.

- Configuring OpenDNS: Allows filtering or block domain names (web sites) and provides statistics.

Amahi 8 (Fedora 21)
- Adding Hard Drives (Web-based): Amahi Disk Wizard application provides functionality for adding hard drives to your HDA via Dashboard UI.
- net-tools/bind-utils (includes commands ifconfig, nslookup, netstat, and others): Not installed in Amahi 8. Amahi application HDA Troubleshooting Tools provides the capability.
- Manual Web App Creation: Amahi application Web App provides the capability along with controlled access for installed web applications.
- Virtual Network Computing (VNC): Access your HDA desktop remotely from inside your network.
Amahi 7 (Fedora 19)
- net-tools/bind-utils (includes commands ifconfig, nslookup, netstat, and others): Not installed in Amahi 7. Amahi application HDA Troubleshooting Tools provides the capability.
- Manual Web App Creation: Amahi application Web App provides the capability along with controlled access for installed web applications.
- Calendar Server: This feature is currently broken (Amahi bug 1339), but guidance is provided to correct the issue.
- Express Disc Desktop: HDA is headless, but guidance is provided for installing a GUI desktop. The Amahi application VNC provides the Gnome 3 Desktop and remote capability.
- Virtual Network Computing (VNC): Access your HDA desktop remotely from inside your network.
Amahi 6 (Ubuntu 12.04.x LTS)
- Secure Shell (SSH): Not installed by default, but required to remotely access your HDA, inside or outside your network. Amahi applications OpenSSH and Dropbear provides the capability.
- Manual Web App Creation: Creating a manual web app via the dashboard results in a "HTTP error 500" message. This work around should correct the issue (Amahi bug 977).
- Require Login for Apps: Control which HDA users can access certain web applications.
- Virtual Network Computing (VNC): Access your HDA desktop remotely from inside your network.
